Dr. Damian Lidgard is a biologist who has worked on Sable Island since he started his PhD in 1997. Although the focus of his work is on seal biology, he is also an avid photographer, and he has spent a significant amount of time observing the Sable Island horse. As a biologist and a photographer, Damian is interested in the interplay between art and science, and how one can inform the other to provide a richer view of the world.
